For coats and blazers I usually go one size up if I want to layer sweaters under them. When I test a new shop I usually start with one or two items instead of a huge order. I have learned to avoid items that look extremely different in every product photo. Some pieces look shiny online but feel like plastic when you open the package. Online shopping will always have a bit of risk, but experience makes it easier. If you sit in front of a screen for many hours, these small features make a difference.

Cheap frames can look nice at first but bend easily or become loose after a few weeks. Footwear is even harder because different brands cut shoes very differently. I try to balance my budget between basic everyday items and a few special pieces. In the end there is no perfect shop, but some stores are clearly more consistent. The main things I look at for glasses are frame weight, hinge quality and lens coating. If a website gives a detailed guide for measurements, I feel more confident when ordering.
